The Lancaster Planning Committee is proud to announce this year's nonprofits participating in the Lancaster Alternative Gift Fair and Marketplace Vendors: 

Nonprofit Gift Fair Participants:

  1. A Week Away - provides a week of peace in the chaotic lives of families battling a life-threatening illness
  2. Aaron's Acres - embracing possibilities beyond disabilities
  3. ASSETS - focused on transforming our community through business
  4. Beth Shalom House of Peace - Christian interim housing program for single mothers leaving prison, where they can reunite with their children and be empowered with the skills and opportunities necessary for long-term self-sufficiency
  5. Brighter Day Foundation - provides life-enhancing services for low-income adults
  6. CASA of Lancaster County - advocates for abused and neglected children
  7. Church World Service: Lancaster - serving refugees and immigrants in central Pennsylvania
  8. Clare House, Inc. - serves homeless women and children in a caring environment, through life skills training and support, leading to self-sufficiency
  9. The Common Wheel - Our mission is to improve lives in Lancaster through the power of bikes.
  10. Girls on the Run of Lancaster and Lebanon - inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running
  11. AdvozTo transform conflict and build community through face-to-face dialogue programs
  12. The Factory Ministries - exists to empower others to strengthen their community
  13. Heifer International - work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth
  14. HOPE International - invests in the dreams of families in the world’s underserved communities as we proclaim and live the Gospel
  15. Hope Within Ministries - community health center that provides free primary health care services and low-cost mental health services to the medically uninsured, financially needy residents of local counties
  16. Lancaster County Coalition to End Homelessness -  working with our partners and the community, we have initiated efforts that we believe can end homelessness in our county within the next ten years
  17. Lancaster County Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack (Event #1804-019MI)  - Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit
  18. Lancaster County Reach Out and Read - gives children the gift of books so they can Reach Out and Read and encourage families to read aloud together 
  19. Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity - seeking to put God’s love into action, Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope
  20. LIberty in North Korea - the North Korean people are overcoming one of the greatest challenges facing humanity today. We work with the people to accelerate change
  21. LIFECYCLES, INC - builds young men of character with a Christ-centered bicycle touring adventure experience and a mentoring program to guide them into adulthood
  22. The Literacy Council of Lancaster-Lebanon - promoting lifelong learning and learning for life
  23. MEDA -  international economic development organization creating business solutions to poverty
  24. North Star Initiative - restoring women from trafficking. For Freedom. For life. Forever.
  25. Nurse Family Partnership Program -a maternal and early childhood health program, fosters long-term success for first-time moms, their babies and society
  26. Operation Homefront, Inc. - serving America's military families
  27. Orphan Relief and Rescue - fighting for justice in populations of children that no one else is serving
  28. Rafiki Africa Foundation - exists to work together with African communities and provide practical resources, training, real and lasting hope, dignity, encouragement, spiritual growth and guidance
  29. SWAN: Scaling Walls a Note at a Time -  breaking the cycle of crime for children whose parent(s) have a history of incarceration by mentoring them through the disciplines of music lessons and performance
  30. World Bicycle Relief - mobilizes people through The Power of Bicycles 

Marketplace Vendors

  • Revolution Lancaster - Jewelry made  with the purpose to build relationships and community. Our beginnings were simple. We came together as a group of women with a heart to love our neighbors. Times of crisis require supportive communities to help us overcome.
  • B.I.R.D. Ministries dba LIght on a Hill - soy and massage oil candles which help restore hope and purpose to lives once shattered by prison, addiction, and abuse
  • Imagine Goods - partners with vulnerable and marginalized people around the world to make products that, in many cases, give the first fair wages they've ever received
  • Lush Bazaar -a socially conscious fashion line that focuses on empowering, and inspiring women through fashion.
  • Friendship HEART Gallery - Friendship Heart Gallery is an extension of Friendship Community, which provides value through artistic expression to Artists with intellectual disabilities.
  • Global Baby Steps - helps provide basic maternity and obstetrical care for women in rural Tanzania. Their store items include a variety of knitted baby wear.
  • Ghana Initiative - Purchasing Bolgatanga baskets from the Ghana Initiative helps to provide medical expertise in towns and villages where medical services are lacking, to those with the greatest need.
  • Bead for Life -  The beading program provides smart and savvy women living in poverty with an entrepreneurial training that gives them the skills and confidence to transform their lives through the creation of a self-sustaining business. Unlike a typical fair trade model, these women graduate from the program as independent business owners.  Featured will be a wide selection of beautiful Ugandan beaded jewelryNorthern Uganda Shea Butter products that create opportunities for impoverished individuals in Uganda.
  • PLUS, Fair trade chocolate, coffee, olive oil, and other items available for purchase.
